Thomas O’Brien is Of Counsel to Moebes Law and specializes in the representation of people whose lives are altered by injury or illness.  Thomas is a veteran legal practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience representing benefits claimants.  While attending law school at Georgia State University, Thomas worked in finance and contracting for one of the nation’s largest health insurers.  Upon becoming an attorney, he began representing medical providers and people fighting for benefits.  In 2016, he purchased the firm where he first started practicing.  Thomas’ efforts have resulted in his clients receiving millions of dollars of cash benefits, insurance coverage, and peace of mind.

Thomas was the recipient of the SuperLawyers Rising Star award and has been named a SuperLawyer for the past several years.  He is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale and 10/10 rated by Avvo.  His work has been covered multiple times on Fox-5 Atlanta and was featured in Stars and Stripes, and he regularly is called to provide educational content to attorneys and industry professionals.

In his free time, Thomas enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his daughter’s soccer team, playing drums in a blues-rock outfit, and serving his community as Chair of the Dunwoody Planning Commission.  During football season he can be seen rooting for Notre Dame, his undergraduate alma mater.
