What is a request for hearing in a workers’ comp case?

We are now in litigation. Your case will be assigned to a workers’ compensation Administrative Law Judge, and a hearing date will be assigned. This date will not go forward. Neither with the 2nd setting, or the 3rd setting. Never show up for a hearing without preparing for it with your attorney and getting confirmation that it’s going forward from your paralegal or attorney. Almost all workers’ comp hearings are postponed several times before they go forward, if at all.
