What is a notice of claim in a Georgia workers’ comp case?

A WC-14 Notice of Claim starts your workers’ comp case with the State Board of Workers’ Compensation and lets the other side know you have a lawyer now. It is NOT a lawsuit or litigation. It’s our attempt to get your benefits started by “playing nice” and hoping the other side does the right thing, but if they do not, we will file a hearing request after a week or so!
